About VacaySee
Hey there! I’m Eric. I’ve been an Airbnb and VRBO host for over five years, and during that time I’ve watched a familiar pattern take hold: steadily rising fees paired with a guest experience that often feels worse, not better.
Hosts do more, guests pay more, and the platform value-add doesn’t rise in proportion. I built VacaySee with a simple promise: we won’t become publicly traded, and we won’t live on the treadmill of squeezing margins year after year at the expense of real hospitality.
Travel should be about an excellent experience at a fair price — not egregious service fees that leave everyone feeling taken advantage of.
The VacaySee approach
VacaySee is designed to avoid platform fees by creating value that guests and hosts actually want. Guests can optionally buy useful trip add-ons before they arrive and discover curated products in the home they might purchase after their stay. Hosts can earn revenue on those purchases, and can choose to promote their listings for better placement.
If you don’t want any add-ons, that’s totally fine — you can still book a great place at a fair price. The goal is a marketplace that feels aligned: better stays, happier hosts, and no fee games.
